Program Description:

Introduction to Figure Skating (IFS):

This is a 1 hour program for skater’s ages 7 to 13 years. Must have passed Stage 4 of the CanSkate program. This program is led by a NCCP Professional Coach. This program was created to help the bridge between CanSkate to STARSkate program. Skaters start with a group warm up and then move into 45 minute lesson time. Skaters will be introduced to dance patterns, skating skills, spins & jumps. The last 15 mins is where the skaters learn to practice on their own and the Coach will see each skater and help skaters with skills they struggled with in the lesson. Our focus is to teach specific skills to figure skating with the overall goal of developing a strong set of basics needed for future success.
