Coaches Corner
- When purchasing new skates be sure to have them sharpened for safety and performance reasons. New skates will not come sharpened.
- We recommend that all skaters skate more than one day a week. This improves skill retention and overall performance.
- All helmets must be CSA-approved and have a legible sticker.
- Avoid walking on concrete with your skates as this will dull the blades.
- If skating outdoors, it is recommended to have your blades sharpened frequently. Outdoor ice can dull a blade quickly.
Coaching Team
Our coaching team takes pride in developing a safe and supportive learning environment for all people. They work together to ensure that all of our programs are delivered with

We are excited to share that Federation Skating Club has been selected by Canadian Tire Jumpstart program to receive a grant from their Sport Relief Fund. This fund helps community sport organizations, like ours continue to provide access to sport and play for Canadian kids. This grant will go a long ways towards helping us continue to offer affordable, quality programs learn-to-skate for children of all ages and abilities.
Please note that our phone number listed it only an answering machine - we check the messages monthly but recommend emailing us for a more immediate response.
